CLINIC DETAILS

This will be a two-clinic series, with this first session covering the Long Axis strokes, Free and Back, and the second devoted to the Short Axis strokes, Fly and Breast. The Short Axis clinic will be presented in the second half of the year at a date to be announced and will be a separate cost.

Mentor Coach

Tatiana Lemos de Lima is a two-time Olympian from her native country of Brazil. She represented her country in both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. Tatiana held the Brazilian and South American Record in the 100 Freestyle from 2008 to 2015. And like elite freestylers, she knows a thing or two about Long Axis swimming. Since retiring from professional swimming in 2013, she has molded and coached age group swimmers in the U.S. and is currently Head Senior Coach from Wave Aquatics in Kirkland.

Schedule

Registration: 11:00 a.m.- 11:20 a.m.
Intro and Overview: 11:30 a.m.
Swim Clinic: 11:45 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.

Please be in your suit & on the deck or in the bleachers promptly by 11:30 am.

Equipment

Please bring your suit, goggles, fins (if you have them), and a towel. Fins are strongly recommended because without them many of the drills may be difficult. Fins help create buoyancy and mild propulsion.

Online registration only. Registration opens Monday, March 11, 2024 and closes at midnight Pacific Time on Friday, May 24, 2024 or when clinic enrollment reaches 40. USMS membership required.

Online Registration is paid by Credit Card

Your online registration for this course will be paid by credit card and processed by Club Assistant and Stripe. Your credit card will be charged by ‘TWIM Booster Club’ for this clinic.

Facility

The Snohomish Aquatic Center is a 52,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility owned and operated by the Snohomish School District. It includes a competition pool with dive area, recreation pool, hot tub, spray-play area, zero-entry area, FlowRider, lazy river, and a waterslide

  • The Competition Pool where the clinic will be held begins at 7 feet and deepens to 12 1/2 feet and is 25 yards by 25 meters long.
  • There are 10 6-inch competition lane lines, located on the outside of each lane (including outside lanes)
  • The temperature will be warmed to approximately 81 degrees Fahrenheit for our event.
  • There are two 1-meter diving boards.
  • The diving well is 12 1/2 feet deep.
  • For meets, there are 10 Xcelerator adjustable track starts. We utilize the Colorado Timing System and have a 10-lane display board
  • Pool deck exhaust system in gutter system for better airflow for competitors
  • 4-inch toe insets
  • Two handicap lifts
  • The pool holds 438,380 gallons of water and has a maximum capacity of 205 people
  • Spectator bleachers hold up to 420 guests
