TWIM rocked Supreme this last weekend at the 2016 PNA Champs at KCAC! We delivered up yet another astonishing and inspirational performance there while having an enormous amount of fun! That’s the TWIM Way people! And our thanks go out to Meet Director Steve Freeborn and Blue Wave Aquatics for another fabulous meet!
Led by the ever-inspirational Coach Heather Shields, twelve of us competed over the two-day meet. Our prize? Third Place in the Medium Team division!

We swam a total of 82 races on Saturday and Sunday amassing 470 points! Skagit Valley took 2nd with 477 points and BAM cleaned up with 619 points!
I must tell you, TWIM, that standing on the same podium with these two coaches, April and Shannon, who were representing their respective teams, BAM and Skagit Valley Masters, as I accepted the award for us, was a deep honor and a milestone in our history. It was emotional-
But back to the facts! God, I hate those things!
MAOZ- The King sped his way to new best SCY times in the 50 and 100 Free with mind blowing times of 23.6 and 52.18, respectively. And he’s only getting warmed up for Nationals!
VINCE- The V-Man raced 8 times over both days and showed what TWIM heart is all about! Of course he laid down new personal best times in the 50 Free and 200 IM, and that by 2.36 seconds! Way to get it done V-Man!

ZENA- The legendary Zena Courtney raced nine times over the weekend, bettering her seed time in the 50 Back and taking a mere 35 seconds off her 1000 Free seed time! Of course because she’s Zena she led off the 200 Medley relay and helped get us First Place! And wow, she looked really good in that TWIM cap!
JENNY- Our treasured Jenny raced 4 times and got First Place in each one, of course! She improved her already fast times in all her races, including 4.6 seconds off the 200 Breast. As I’ve stated in the past, she looks really sweet on the outside but within burn the fires of domination!
FATHER TOM- The Swimming Priest raced 9 times over those two days, taking 1.25 seconds of his 500 Free time, half a second off his 200 Free, and swam a sub 29 second 50 Free in the Men’s 200 Free Relay!!! Don’t quote me on this, but I’ve heard rumors coming from the Vatican that Fr. Tom may be canonized as our first Aquatic Saint!!!
BETSEY – The Machine raced 8 times at the meet and laid down 3 First Place finishes, taking 4.75 seconds off her 100 Back, 12.37 seconds her 500 Free, 3.75 seconds off her 200 Free, and 4 seconds off her 100 Breast!!! Can someone shout Hallelujah? 12.37 seconds off the 500 Free? She apologizes for any whining she’s done in the past about that one!!!

KATHY- Energizer Kathy is becoming increasingly formidable and it’s pretty scary! She accomplished personal bests in all of her races of course , which included 22.67 seconds off the 1000 Free, 14 seconds off her 500 Free and one minute and 22 seconds off her 1650. Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of fire, Energizer!
As I’m writing this I’ m starting to wonder what we’ve all been eating…
NOEL- That Aquatic Powerhouse drove her way to 3 First place finishes, taking 1.2 seconds off her 200 Back time!!!! She was also first in the 200 IM and Women’s Medley Relay. And Noel is just coming off Maternity Leave! Hold on to your seats people!
FRANKIE- The Rocket gets the Workhorse Award and The Supreme Animal Award because he Brought It and did 1O swims for us! He took 14 seconds off his 400IM, took First in the 100 Back after shaving 3.79 seconds off that event and swam a very strong 100 Back to boot!

VALERIE- Valerie had another absolutely sensational meet and took the most time off of any of us, including bettering her 500 free time by over 3 minutes!!! She went on to take 11.45 seconds off her 200 free and 9.6 seconds off her 100 Back!!! This young lady is improving her swims each time and we are proud!!!!
TAMMY RK- Tammy RK is our new Female Animal! She erased 7 seconds from her 1000 Free time , bettered her time in the 500 Free, took 1.48 seconds off her 200 free and in what can only be described as An Amazing Act of Human Courage she swam the dreaded 200 Fly and took 1.93 seconds off that for good measure. Way to Go Tammy RK!!!

TW- After writing all of this I’m afraid saying anything now because the rest of you are so good so I’ll let MC do the talking- “raced 8 times taking incredible amounts of time off every one of his swims including 22 seconds off his 400 IM time, 16 seconds off his 100 Back, and removing 13 seconds from his 200 Breast!”
Wow, it sounds like I’m taking the same drug you guys are, TWIM!
I am very, very grateful for this meet and for all that we have accomplished together. I’m thinking more and more that we can accomplish anything as TWIM!

Kudos to everyone and Up with TWIM!
