Lightning during the opening of the “Road To Nationals” meet in Bend Oregon, yesterday, did not deter Father Tom Fritschen nor COB Thomas W Walker from competing in the first Long Course outdoor event of the season!

Word has it that Coach Bob Bruce, despite the weather, put on another great meet. Hosted by Central Oregon Masters Aquatics (COMA), this meet was part of their ‘Wonderful Water Weekend’ which included an Open Water Swimming (OWS) clinic yesterday and an OWS event today. Start marking your calendars for next year!
Reports of the two Toms’ achievements have started to trickle in. What we know is they did survive the storm, yesterday, and they both had awesome performances, especially in their 50m sprint events.
