TWIMmers have been very busy recently. Briefly, here is what you need to know to get up to speed 🙂
New TWIMmer, Ben Hohmann, won 3rd place in the 1.2 mile non-wetsuit division at Friday Night Swim Races in Lake Meridian, June 9th! Word has it he and his son scarfed down the delicious ‘trophy’ – chocolate chip cookies – in record time. Congratulations, Ben!
Our own Tammy Koppelberger raced in the Black Hills Triathlon June 25. She was ninth out of the water in this popular race and finished 10 minutes faster overall than she did last year. Wonderful work, Tammy!
Zena Courtney has been busy competing in or organizing a number of open water events this season. But, most recently, she raced with the youngsters at the dual-sanctioned USA/USMS Seattle Open July 8th at Colman Pool. She improved on her seed time in the 100m free. Way to race them, Zena!
This coming Saturday, oodles of us TWIMmers (7 of us at last count!) will turn into Fat Salmon on July 15th. Stay tuned!
