On a spectacular fall day here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, the TWIM legions gathered from the far corners of Puget Sound this past Saturday to swim in the 17th annual BAMFest, hosted by Bainbridge Aquatic Masters and presided over by their always marvelous Coach April!

This year’s meet lived up to its reputation as a signature event on the PNA schedule and thanks to BAM, meet officials, and volunteers for a terrific job as usual!

The very air poolside was infused with TWIM electricity as eleven of our indomitable aquatic warriors, brilliantly led by new Coach Tammy “RK” Koppelberger, forged a new chapter in TWIM history with superlative individual swims and a unified team effort that was off the charts stellar!

In attendance were Holly Lickwala, her sidekick Brent Barnes, Jessi Gable, Jenny Ferries, Bob Brandt, Jason Koppelberger (Tight with Coach Tammy so watch out!), Val Thompson, her awesome husband (and our Road Manager) Vic Pace, Father Tom Fritschen (The Swimming Priest), Carl “MC” Haynie, and your beloved COB.

Oh, and let’s not forget the hard-charging Coach Tammy, who doubled as a swimmer with her usual knock out power! All told there were some exciting races, oftentimes lane to lane TWIM striving for victory. A good many first places were secured!

Hail TWIM Long Live and well done!
