On Sunday the 15th of December that Indomitable Duo of Holly and Brent turned in another spectacular performance at the 11th Annual All-Around Challenge Meet in beautiful Bend Oregon!

This meet is always a treat and so well run by that Aquatic Impresario, Coach Bob Bruce of COMA (Central Oregon Masters Aquatics).

I think the name COMA also addresses how you feel after this meet. For the uninitiated, there are three divisions in this Short Course Meters meet:
The Crazy Mega Animal: 200 M Fly, 200 M Back, 200 M Breast, 200 M Free, and 400 M IM.
See what I mean? There is also the Crazy Animal, which consists of 100 M Fly, 100 M Back, 100 M Breast and 100 M Free followed by a 200 M IM.
Last but not least there is the Mildly Crazy series which includes a 50 of each stroke in IM order followed by a 100 IM, much more palatable for a meet at altitude (3600 feet).
Holly and Brent, in an admirable exercise of reason, selected just a few delicacies from the whole menu.

In the words of Brent, his “Incredibly Talented Wife” Holly laid down the following sizzlers:
1st Place in the 100 M Fly @ 1:16:36, ranking 5th in the nation to date!
1st Place in 100 M Breast with a 1:27:60, which earned her 7th place nationally.
She rounded things out with a 2nd in the 50 M free @ 30:74!

All Best Times save the 50 M Free!
I think we all agree that this is one Incredibly Talented Lady! Congrats Holly!
Her understudy Brent continues to close the gap between himself and his teacher with the following statement:
1st Place in the 50 M FLY @ 44:87! This was his first ever 50 M Fly!
3rd Place in the 50 M Back @ 51:83
1st Place in the 50 M Breast @ 40:82
3rd Place in the 100 M Free with 1:22:78
1st Place in the 100 M IM with a time of 1:35:66!
Brent blasted out all Best Times except for the Free!
Congrats Brent and Look Out World because you keep getting faster!
Holly and Brent embody the core spirit of who we are as TWIM. They live out our Credo at every meet, which is to embrace each opportunity to get up on the blocks and give it your all, for yourself and for your teammates. They will brave sleet, snow, wind and hail to get it done, not to mention fording raging rivers and ascending mountain passes!
Yes, they truly embody the passion and determination that is TWIM itself-
