This past weekend Tammy and I and many of our open water enthusiast friends participated in The Swim Defiance open water race.
It has been forever since we have raced open water with actual live competitors and it felt great starting the race with a group of 42 fellow swimmers. Both the 3k and 5k races started simultaneously with a slight current and waves pushing us, making the trip out slightly more challenging than the return.
Tammy took 1st place overall female and I took 1st place in my age group for the Swim Defiance 3k wet suit division open water race. This race is a challenging open water event that you don’t want to miss.
