Dear Northwest Swimmers,
TWIM’s Greatest International Swimming Ambassador, Mr. Steve Fogg has reported in from The World Aquatics Masters Championships in Doha, Qatar and the news is great! In his first race, the 100 Backstroke, Steve medaled! Yes folks, a Bronze in a World competition! Here is a screenshot of the results:

Steve is there with another swimmer who many of us know, Dan Phillips. Today (Friday) was Relay Day, and a rest day for the individual event swimmers, so Steve and Dan went for a walk to see the sights of Doha. Tomorrow, Steve will be swimming the 50 Backstroke and the 200 Butterfly. The meet schedule indicates there will likely be less than an hour between the two events!

Earlier in the meet, Steve swam the 200 IM, and on Sunday, he will power through the 400 IM! The flight home leaves early Monday morning.

Steve, you really make TWIM and all of Pacific Northwest Swimming proud!
