Amidst all the resetting of clocks last weekend, TWIM members got busy at two swim meets, in two states!
The competition started August 7. The two pools felt very different during competition, Male swimmers and female swimmers alternated venues daily.
Four TWIM members made their way to Des Moines, Iowa.
A large TWIM turnout resulted in TWIM members comprising 12% of all swimmers at this meet!
TWIM brought some power to this event with eleven swimmers participating!
It was an afternoon packed with in-depth instruction from Coach Tatiana, and great fun for all participants!
We lost a giant in the swimming community this week.
I was joined this year by a good-sized group of my TWIM teammates.
The Swimming venue was The Briggs Family YMCA, in Olympia, and the swimming events were held on Sunday, July 28.
TWIM fielded thirteen swimmers across two days of competition, swimming in 44 individual events and one relay.
This event requires literally hundreds of volunteers and several TWIM members attended in a variety of volunteer roles.

On-Deck Coaches – A huge thank you from TWIM for volunteering your time and making TWIM’s Stroke Development Clinic such a success!
The stroke development clinic was well run, supported with outstanding regional USMS Club coaches and a sold-out complement of eager to learn Masters swimmers.
The latest TWIM Swim Clinic was an absolute home run, with USMS Coach Bill Brenner and a stellar group of PNA On-Deck Coaches!
