On October 26, 2024, a group of US Masters Swimmers gathered at the Snohomish Aquatics Center to participate in the latest TWIM Swim Clinic. The topic was Speed! – for the short-axis strokes (Breaststroke and Butterfly). This clinic was a follow-up to an earlier TWIM Speed Clinic for the long-axis stroke.

Our presenter was two-time Brazilian Olympian, Coach Tatiana Lemos de Lima. It was an afternoon packed with in-depth instruction from Coach Tatiana, and great fun for all participants!
After introduction, opening remarks, and a brief safety message, the clinic got started with a bit of whiteboard instruction from Coach Tatiana.

Then swimmers headed into the pool, for nearly two hours of intense instruction in the finer points of Breaststroke and Butterfly, culminating in combining the newly learned skills and discovering a new level of speed!

A big TWIM Thank You goes out to Coach Tatiana and our On-deck Coaching crew! Our On-deck Coaches were Brandon Ringstad, Tonya Heike, Diana Hermanson, Steve Fogg, Jenny Claridge, and Alison Eliason. On-deck Coaches provided real-time feedback to swimmers, as they practiced their new skills.

Stay tuned for more TWIM Swim Clinics in the future!
