2025 USMS Summer Nationals
Day 4 of the USMS Summer Nationals in Federal Way was another memorable one! Reporting again from the field, our one and only Dan Underbrink…
Greetings TWIM and Friends of TWIM,
Seventeen TWIM Champions tore up the lanes at the King County Aquatic Center, in the fourth day of competition at USMS Summer Nationals! By my count, 18 new medals were awarded to TWIM Champions today!
The camera was not quick enough to capture everyone today, but I’ll share what we have and talk about the rest.

Holly swam the 100 Butterfly today, as well as the 200 IM, and the 200 Mixed Medley Relay. A 5th place medal in the Fly and a 2nd place medal in the relay for Holly!
Meanwhile, Keri earned a 7th place medal in the 200 IM!

Dan secured an 8th place medal in the 200 Mixed Medley Relay! Dan also had meet organizational duties (hanging up the daily heat sheets and Team Score all over the buildings) and had a meeting with the organizers for the next Summer Nationals, which will be in the Sacramento area. They are seeing what they can discover about our Nationals, that will make theirs a similar success.

Guilherme made his first appearance at Nationals today and handily secured a 7th place medal in the 50 Free, and a 5th place medal in the Mixed Medley Relay!

Dave swam the 200 IM and received a 10th place medal for his efforts in the Mixed Medley Relay. Emily swan a 50 Free and was also in the same relay as Dave, so she too earned a 10th place medal! Mary swam a 50 Free today.

Maoz Alsberg was back in the pool today, and earned an 8th place medal in the 50 Free and a 2nd place medal in the Mixed Medley Relay
Colleen Wahlstrom, in her first day at this Nationals, was Golden, with a 1st place medal in her 200 IM! Colleen also received a 3rd place medal in the 100 Fly!
Steve Schwartz swam in the 50 Free and the Mixed Medley Relay, receiving a 9th place medal for the relay!
Carl Haynie swam in the Mixed Medley Relay and received a 3rd place medal for that effort!
Brad Jones medalled in the 100 Fly. 3rd place!
Greg Walsh swam in the 50 Free and medalled (6th place) in the Mixed Medley Relay!
Paul McGhee swam in the 200 IM, the 50 Free, and the Mixed Medley Relay. A 3rd place medal in that relay!
Brent Barnes turned in great times in the 50 and 200 Free races.

Atsuko swam the 50 Free and medalled (9th) in the Mixed Medley Relay!

Graham had an exciting 200 freestyle race! I can’t wait to see him in the 800 Free tomorrow!

Thanks to everyone for your amazing efforts today! Thanks also for stepping up and participating in the PSM Relays.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, for our last day of racing, at this great meet!
