Betsey “The Machine” Kassen and Tammy RK braved the tropical warmth in their pool over the weekend and killed the One-Hour Postal event under physical duress!
“The Machine” pushed through 82.5 degree water this morning and delivered a magnificent 4000 yards! Tammy RK swam in the 83 degree water on Saturday, and it must have made her angry because she totally cleaned The Clock and hammered out 4,150 yards. Most amazing is that she achieved sub 1:40 splits per 100 throughout the event and even got as far down as 1:31!
Last year, her splits were all greater than 1:40 so Tammy RK is one happy swimmer!
We’re seriously considering bringing both of them to 70 degree water and see what happens. I’m just guessing here, but I think records would be shattered!
