Good morning TWIM! Our swimmers laid down dazzling performances in two different states last weekend!
At the 2016 SARC Masters meet yesterday in scenic Port Angeles, we were led by the Swimming Powells; Frankie “The Rocket” Powell and his amazing daughter Valerie!
Valerie turned in an All-Star swim as she slashed a full 5 seconds off her 100 Free time! She also killed the 50 Back. Frankie followed suit in his usual spectacular way with superb power blasts in the 50 and 500 free.
I think Valerie is finally wearing off on her dad!
Yours truly, I think, acquitted himself honorably. That’s the TWIM Way! TWIM placed 7th overall in combined team scores!
It was a small but highly enjoyable meet, beautifully run by Meet Directors Dani Keller and Elizabeth Hogan and a fantastic crew. Thanks to them! Special thanks also to Linda Chapman for next day results posting! She was there as well and cranked out some impressive swims!
Meanwhile, Father Tom “The Swimming Priest” Fritschen carried the TWIM banner to Coeur d’Alene Idaho to compete in the 2016 Spring Splash! He was, once again, true to form offering up a string of convincing performances in the 100, 200 and 50 free! FT just keeps getting better and stronger like a true TWIM champion!
Kudos to all and Up with TWIM!
