Holly and Brent Rock It the TWIM Way
Our Dynamic Duo takes Top Age Group Honors!

We wake up every day and live what’s in our heart, we sail toward the True North, undaunted by obstacles. We never turn back from our call; we are faithful to who it is we are and the values we live by. That is the most honorable way to respond to this Gift of life, to acquit ourselves well. We always need to be ready to step on the blocks, both in swimming and reality itself.
This is the TWIM Way, and it is the belief that we share.
Holly and Brent live this belief and their swimming is a statement that defines the core of our identity. During this last, very difficult year, with COVID all around and the changes it brought to our daily lives, they focused on the task at hand, which is to Swim, Swim, Swim, no matter what!
Here is what they decided to accomplish during this turbulent year of 21.
This is how Holly tells the tale:
I hope this finds you and your family well. I wanted to share with you some exciting news Brent and I received in the mail today. First, let me give you a little background. We both like to compete and love to swim, both being quite limited in 2021. When searching through competitions on the USMS, we came across the Pacific Masters e-postal series challenge. Sign me up!! There was a different and unique competition each month, starting in February. Swim the listed event/events, register for the event, and submit your time, then wait and see how you stack up against your age group. Points were given based on your ranking. The first challenge in February was TRICE which consisted of the cumulative time in the 50, 100, 200 of each stroke, the 100, 200, 400 IM, and the distance 200, 500, 1000 free. Next was a 500 free, pure and simple. May was the 100 of each stroke and the 200 IM. June was a non-freestyle triple threat…. the 200 fly, 200 back, and 200 breast. Each month this continued until the SCM championships down in Walnut Creek. That was the meet where I was told I had a target on my back (in a fun competitive way) since I had been swimming against these ladies in my age group for many months. The overall points winner in each age group received what you see in the attached picture. It is like a paper weight. Just wanted to share a little bit of swim happiness with you.
Have a wonderful Holiday and many blessings!
