Fina Masters Swimming recently posted their World Top Ten rankings for last year’s Short Course Meters (SC) season. We are busting with pride that our own Betsey Kassen made top ten in two individual events, and that two other TWIMmers, Brad Jones and Carl Haynie, contributed to a World Champion performance in the 400m Medley Relay.
Betsey made top ten in both the 800 free (7th) and 1500 free (9th). No wonder she is nicknamed “The Machine!” Congratulations, Betsey!! Meanwhile, Carl squeaked by in the 200 back (10th). His swim earned him the top spot nationally for the second year in a row.

Yes, it is now official. We have World Champions in our midst. Brad Jones and Carl teamed up with Dan Phillips and Rick Colella in the 400m Medley Relay and, together, secured the top spot in their age category. Their time of 4:22.24 swum during November’s PSM Champs meet also ranks as 8th fastest all time. Congratulations to both of you!!

Go TWIM!!!
